IT'S the time of the year when the keen netballers at Bringelly Sports Club are counting the days until the winter season arrives.
Pre-season training starts soon for the Bringelly girls, who play in green and white.
The Camden & District Netball Associations' winter season opens on Saturday, April 28.
The junior teams have names representing Australian flora such as Gumtrees, Eucalyptus and Willows.
The first players' registration day is this Saturday, February 4, at Bringelly Park, Greendale Rd, Bringelly, between 10am and 2pm.
"We are looking at having 10 teams this year," Bringelly club president Julie Sligar said.
"Our teams will range in age from modified teams, which are under sevens, right through to the seniors' teams."
Sligar said training for the club's teams starts later this month.
The dates will be announced soon.
"We are looking forward to another great season," Sligar said.
The club is also seeking additional sponsorship in 2012.
Camden-based companies GLC Building Pty Ltd and MJ Owens Plumbing Pty Ltd have signed up to support the Bringelly club.
"We really appreciate the support of these local companies and others wishing to get involved are welcome to do so," Sligar said.
Bringelly Sports Club also has soccer teams which play in the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association.
