WEST Hoxton couple Rick and Wendy Kolanovic won't have far to go for the start of next month's Bicentenary Clive Graham Fun Run.
The Liverpool Council event includes two distances, 6kilometres and 10kilometres.
The venue is Greenway Park, Greenway Drive, West Hoxton, and it will be on Sunday, September12.
The starting line is literally a few hundred metres from the Kolanovic's home.
The husband and wife are going to walk in the 6-kilometres event. They are in the Sunset Road Fans team on September12.
``We enjoy regular outdoor light exercise mostly such as jogging, walking, tennis, golf and swimming in summer,'' Ms Kolanovic said.
Mr Kolanovic said he and his wife like to keep fit and healthy and exercise regularly.
``We also entered the fun run to celebrate the start of spring by getting out among our community and neighbours and to enjoy the area we live in,'' he said.
The 10-kilometre event starts 8am and the 6-kilometre run at 8.15am.
Participants can enter as a group, school, business or individual.
You can register online for $10 per person before noon on Saturday, September11, at liverpool.nsw .gov.au.
Liverpool mayor Wendy Waller is encouraging the community to celebrate Liverpool's bicentenary. She said people can have fun, go for a run or walk and possibly win great prizes.
The fun run is dedicated to the late Clive Graham, who was well known and respected for his outstanding contribution to developing sporting opportunities in Liverpool and south-west Sydney.
Late registrations will be accepted Sunday, September12, at 7am. Cost: $20.
