A 19-year-old man died after a three car collision on Elizabeth Drive at Luddenham on Friday afternoon.
About 3pm police and emergency services were called to Elizabeth Drive at Luddenham after reports of a collision involving an Isuzu table top truck, a Ford ute and a Mazda sedan.
Inquiries into the cause of the collision are continuing but it appears that the truck being driven by a 19-year-old Tregear man was travelling in an easterly direction along Elizabeth Drive when it crashed into the rear of the Ford Ute near the intersection of Luddenham Road.
The ute was attempting to turn into the driveway of a property at the time of the collision.
As a result of the crash the ute then collided with a Mazda sedan being driven in a westerly direction along Elizabeth Drive.
The 19-year-old driver of the truck was airlifted to Westmead Hospital suffering serious injuries. He died on Sunday night.
The driver of the ute, a 48-year-old Luddenham man, was not injured in the collision however a 15-year-old girl who was a passenger in the vehicle was trapped for a short period of time.
She was taken to Westmead Hospital suffering a fractured pelvis.
She currently remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the Mazda a 50-year-old Wallacia woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital with chest pain. She currently remains in a stable condition.
Elizabeth Drive was closed until 10pm while police carried out investigations into the collision.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
