Transport assistance for cancer patients

25 Jan, 2012 12:00 AM
LIFE will become a little easier for cancer patients in Liverpool. The council will soon allocate 10 free car spaces during business hours at Warren Serviceway Car Park for cancer patients and their families.

A permit will be issued through the Cancer Therapy Centre following consultation with the council.

The council's general manager, Farooq Portelli, will then write to the Liverpool Hospital requesting an equal provision of free parking be made there. Mr Portelli will also write to the Minister of Transport requesting that the state-run shuttle bus have its route amended to provide a drop-off and pick-up at the Liverpool Hospital.
