Liverpool man has his own reason to rap

15 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
DREAMS can come true, or at least they did for one former Heckenberg resident.

Dennis Sivas, 26, better known as Pitty Lane, is a street rapper who has worked hard to make his mark.

For more than four years the young singer has spread his message of peace, understanding and tolerance through his lyrics.

"My music represents who I am," he said. "I had a tough upbringing, I got into a bit of trouble in my youth but today I'm here to prove it doesn't matter where you come from or where you grow up you're in control of your own future."

Lane, who draws his inspiration from the late rap superstar Tupac, is currently filming the video clip for his new single Alone.

"I'm really excited," he said. "It's good to see all your hard work pay off and everything finally come together.

"When I get up there and I rap I do it to uplift youth. I try to inspire them and give hope."
