RAIN didn't keep car enthusiasts away from the Hubertus Country Club on Sunday.
About 2000 people turned up for the second Rodstock Hot Rod and Custom Car Show.
Event organisers Angelo Camilleri and Red Stokes said there were 135 cars on display.
The stand-out contender was a 55 maroon Chevy sedan that had been converted into a ute.
The $2000 raised on the day will go to the Hubertus Model Boat Club and helping the Piazza family.
Guy Piazza, of Minchinbury, was killed in a car accident. He was age41.
Mr Piazza was a member of the Early Ford Street Rod Club. ``The money will help his wife raise her two little boys and to pay some of the bills and things like that,'' Mr Camilleri said.
There were also carnival rides, jumping castles, entertainment, market stalls and a model-boat display at the show.
Mr Camilleri said some eager car-part swappers camped out the night before to get the ``early-bird picks'' when the show started at 6am.
``It was just a good opportunity for car enthusiasts to get together and compare notes and to show off what they've done to other people,'' he said.
