THREE local boys are hoping to dance their way into the final of the revamped television series Young Talent Time and take home $100,000 in prize money.
Jordan Grant, 15, Nicholas Olegario, 12, and Yehia Bates, 9, of The Glenda Yee School of Dance at Prestons, form part of the all-boys hip-hop dance group Lil' Banditz Krew.
Performing on the TV show last week in front of millions of Australians, and judges including Tina Arena, the group of 17 boys have been inundated by fans on social media sites.
They have received more than 11,000 views on Youtube and 2000 "likes" on Facebook.
"It's really exciting," Jordan said.
"It was amazing to meet the judges and to be on the show."
The Lil' Banditz Krew was formed in September last year as part of Project Dance — an organisation combining seven leading dance schools across Sydney.
Just weeks later, the group auditioned for YTT among 30,000 other children and in December they were told they had been selected to be among the first competitors on the show.
The group has been practising hard with So You Think You Can Dance former contestant Jesse Rasmussen and on Sunday night they progressed into the semi-finals of YTT.
