Stone Homes is a family business run by Dennis and Gai McFadden and their two sons, and was started to make this dream come true for the average family.

Gai McFadden said that while they had dabbled in stone homes for about six years, it was always something that Dennis dreamed of doing.

"Building stone homes was always something Dennis wanted to do and it's always been his passion,'' she said.

Their plans, vision and hard work has come to fruition and today the McFaddens supply high quality sandstone kit homes at affordable prices.

Customers can choose from standard designs that can be modified to suit individual needs and lifestyle.

"Our customers are welcome to work with one of the company's consultants to ensure that their unique demands are met,'' Gai said.

"Those who have an owner-builder licence can build their home themselves, but otherwise the help of a builder will be needed to complete the structure.''

The kit comes with an instruction manual and concise plans and the building process normally takes between four and six months.

Stone Homes has two sandstone homes on display at the Narellan showroom, one is a two-storey homestead and the other, a ranch-style design with a verandah around the perimeter.

Visitors are invited to inspect the houses and experience the feeling of living in their own sandstone home. Stone Homes also has two Colorbond homes on display.

Kits are priced between $40,000 and $300,000.
